EJC provides an intensive program for area business people, civic leaders and residents, new and old, to gain a better understanding of the community in which they live, work, and play.

Experience Jefferson County participants are exposed to the people, business and government leaders, problems and issues that impact their daily lives.  The valuable information received through class participation can be used to suggest solutions, identify new opportunities, and help participants play a larger role in the success of their county and its citizens.

• A Team-Building Leadership Retreat in Jefferson County

• Tours of historical sites in Jefferson County

• panel discussions with Commissioners, State Representatives and Senators

• Tours of County Government facilities

• Jefferson County trip

• Information about available social services

• Information about the state of health in Jefferson County

• Some meals and snacks

• Graduation of Participants
